The Seniors Lunch & Learn is July 30

Enjoy this opportunity to make new friends, learn about new programs and membership options at this special event happening Thursday, July 30th at 12 noon in the Henry County YMCA Multipurpose Room. We’ll serve a light lunch compliments of DeFur Voran and have a prize drawing. Learn how to get the most out of your Y experience. 

July Focus: Estate Planning with Attorney Jim Millikan of DeFur Voran

The focus for the July meeting will be Estate Planning. Senior Attorney James Millikan from DeFur Voran will be our guest speaker. Jim received his J.D. from Indiana University and has been practicing law for 51 years. Thinking about developing an estate plan can be daunting. Jim indicated, “At DeFur Voran, our goal is to make this process as easy as possible. We will help you develop the most appropriate plan with consideration for issues such as minimizing taxes, protecting assets from creditors, reducing the possibility of conflict between family members over the management of your affairs, and providing for possible future long-term care needs.”

Your insurance may cover the cost of your YMCA membership. You could have a free insurance-based YMCA membership and joiner fee waived if you have Silver Sneakers, Renew Active, or Silver & Fit. Check with your insurance provider to see if you are eligible to get a code from them. 

Even if your insurance doesn’t cover your membership, you can still make a move toward better health today. Ask about income-based senior discounts and scholarships. We believe you are worth the investment in your health and happiness.
