Tyler, a junior at Hickory High School, brings imagination to life through playful, three-dimensional crochet creations. Inspired by lessons from his grandmother (“I started crocheting on my fingers!”), Tyler now stitches animals, characters, and delightful surprises designed to make people smile!

Launched by Arts & Education at the Hoyt in 2023, this youth exhibition initiative shines a spotlight on exceptionally talented artists ages 13–18, giving them the rare opportunity to present their work in a professional public setting. Hosted in partnership with the New Castle Public Library, this exhibition series continues to cultivate confidence, experience, and big creative dreams.
