TOURNAMENT RULES---Failure to Read Is No Excuse
1. Eligibility: All bowlers must have current TNBA and USBC adult memberships and be 18 years of age or older at the time of competition. Senior men & women bowlers must be 50 years old. Super Seniors must be 60 years old. USBC Cert #08255
a. Current or former PBA members are permitted to bowl provided they have not won a national singles or doubles title within the past two (2) years.
b. TNBA and USBC sanctioning will not be available onsite.
c. All bowlers must present proof of current TNBA and USBC certification prior to bowling.
2. Entries: Entries must be received and paid in full by March 28 at $175.00. Entries received March 29–April 4 are $200.00. No walk-ins. The Tournament Director reserves the right to refuse any entry.
3. Cancellations: A $10 processing fee applies for cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance. No refunds under 72 hours unless a replacement is found. No show=no refund.
4. Bowling Attire: All entrants are required to wear shirts/blouses with their name permanently displayed on the back. Paper name tags are not permitted. The following are not permitted: Jeans (any color), tank tops, halter tops, t-shirts, sweatpants, spandex pants, no shorts for men only, and headgear not worn for religious reasons. Females may wear skirts, culottes, shorts, capri pants, or skorts that extend beyond their fingertips when arms are relaxed at their sides. No spandex!
5. Dress Code Enforcement:
a. The first infraction involves a $30 fine, payable immediately prior to bowling.
b. The Tournament Director has final authority on all infractions, fines, and disqualifications.
6. Format: All bowlers will bowl two (2) four-game blocks; 8 games total. The top 50% advance to bowl four games Sunday. Advancement to the cash round is based on the starting number of entries. Those advancing will bowl a four-game block to determine the final standings and the stepladder finalist. The top five (5) finalists will be determined by total pinfall for sixteen (16) games.
a. Finalists will bowl a stepladder format; 5th vs 4th with the winner advancing.
b. The championship match will be bowled on a neutral pair of lanes.
c. No replacements will be permitted for bowlers who make the cut but do not show.
7. Ties: Ties involving the cut or stepladder positions will be broken by a 9th & 10th frame roll-off until resolved. Ties involving cash prizes will result in the money being added together and split equally.
8. Termination: If the tournament is prematurely terminated due to war, pandemic, national emergency, fire, strike, lockout, labor dispute, or other causes beyond the control of the Bill Rhodman East Classic, prize money will be prorated based on the number of entrants who have bowled.
9. Prize Fund: The Prize Fund will be paid 100%, with a 1-in-6 cash ratio. Any bowler receiving payment of $2,000.00 or more must submit a W-9 form to receive prize money. Men $
