BIOGRAPHY
Claudio – Educator, Dancer, and Tango Enthusiast
Claudio, an Associate Professor and educator at a medical school, brings a unique perspective to the world of tango. He believes that tango is more than just a dance—it's a transformative experience that connects dancers with beautiful music, creates meaningful embraces, and fosters a sense of community. For Claudio, these elements are essential for self-expression, building deep connections with others, and embracing the joy of life.
Claudio's tango journey has been heavily influenced by some of the most respected maestros in the tango world. Through years of training and guidance from legends such as Suyay Quiroga, Ruth Hernandez, Amanda Acacia, Daniel Moreno, Adrian and Alejandra, and Marcela Duran and more. Claudio has developed a deep understanding of the dance's intricate techniques, emotional depth, and cultural significance. These maestros have shaped his approach to tango, inspiring him to focus on the connection between partners, the musicality of each step, and the artistry behind the dance.
In 2020, Claudio’s dedication to tango was recognized at the National competition in ATUSA, where he achieved remarkable results: 4th place in Tango Pista, 3rd place in Vals, and 2nd place in Milonga. These accomplishments are a testament to his passion, commitment, and ongoing drive to refine his craft.
Since 2020, Claudio has been sharing his knowledge and love for tango across the United States, assisting tango sessions in Michigan, Florida, Ohio, and Colorado. His teaching is focused on helping dancers connect more deeply with the music, their partners, and the essence of tango itself. Whether you're just starting out or are an experienced dancer, Claudio’s approach to tango will inspire you, challenge you, and help you elevate your dancing to new heights.
