During the middle stage, communication becomes more difficult, making it important to speak slowly and clearly, ask simple questions, minimize distractions, and provide
reassurance and visual cues. 

In the late stage, it may be necessary for you to focus on nonverbal communication, such as gestures, facial expressions, and sounds. Throughout every stage, people with dementia should be treated with patience, dignity, respect, and compassion, and we will help you to identify what that looks like.
