Spring has arrived, let’s hit the trails to see who and what is already out enjoying the new season! We will listen for frogs calling, search for budding plants, see which seasonal travelers have migrated back to their summering grounds, and search for any other signs of new life.
Park in the main parking area and meet at the trail map west of the restroom. Cost is $4 per person, all ages welcome. This program does include a hike which will be up to one (1) mile. We will be walking on dirt/gravel, grass, and board walk. There will be a few hills. Registration ends March 23, 2026, at 8:00AM. Registration limited to 20 people.
To register, please call the Wayne County Parks front desk to register (734-261-1990). Note you will need to pay over the phone by credit card or come into the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center (Westland) to pay by cash, credit card (Visa/Mastercard), or check. Hours are between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday, closed Noon-1:00 PM for lunch. For more info, please call 734-261-8991.
No refunds, if it is canceled by Wayne County Parks, we will add a credit to your account for a future program. Parents/chaperones must accompany children at all times during our programs.
