- **Event Description**: Candida Rose returns for another dynamic class highlighting the traditional songs and music based in Cabo Verdean culture and heritage!

Each class will include instruction on the music and guidance on how to sing selected songs, along with coaching on dances connected to these rhythms. Participants will have opportunities to share their voices both individually and as part of a group. We will explore genres such as Morna, Coladeira, Funaná, and Batuku. Candida’s original material will also be introduced, encouraging students to reflect on and develop their own creative interests and abilities.

This class is beginner friendly. You do not need to have prior experience singing or know how to read music or speak Kriolu to participate.

This class meets on Mondays, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 6/1, 6/8, and 6/15 from 6-7PM.

This class is suitable for all ages and all skill levels.

Anyone with an EBT, WIC, or Connector Care card is eligible for reduced price tickets, distributed on a first come first serve basis. Card to Culture tickets cannot be purchased online. Please call our Box Office at 508.994.2900 to inquire.
