Working with Children with Trauma and Attachment Challenges:
Approved for SW and LMHC: $70 and 3 CE Hours
Working with children who have experienced trauma can be a challenging and triggering process for both new and advanced practitioners. Understanding the impact that trauma has on a child, and the connection this has to fostering normal and healthy attachments, is key in finding a starting point to the healing process. This workshop will explore and review the impact that trauma has on the brain, what this often looks like behaviorally and emotionally, and how we can most effectively help children begin the path to healing. How to engage children and families in this process will also be covered, in addition to some practical activities that can be used throughout the therapeutic process.
