The Open Source Strategy Forum, presented by FINOS, is a one-day conference for experts across financial services, technology and open source to come together to deepen collaboration and drive innovation across the financial services industry in order to deliver better code faster. Attendees will include C-level executives from many of the world’s largest and most important financial services and technology firms as well as open source and enterprise thought leaders. World class speakers will drive a dynamic conversation about leveraging open source as a key part of a corporate technology strategy.
We had fantastic turnouts at both of the Open Source Strategy Forums in 2018 in London and 2017 in New York, with over 600 attendees for the two years, from leading banks, asset managers, hedge funds and technology companies. More than 100 speakers with expertise across financial services, technology and open source provided insight and guidance on how we can use open source to deepen collaboration and innovation across the financial services industry.
STRATEGY & STANDARDS
Hear from leaders driving standards, innovation, and collaboration to meet an evolving financial services landscape and changing customer demand, including opportunities in open data, open banking, cloud, regulation and more.
POLICY, PROCESS & TOOLS
Learn how to seamlessly deliver compliant open source software through policies, processes, best practices and technology to manage the full open source software lifecycle from evaluation to consumption to contribution.
CODE & COMMUNITY
A look at the software, languages, frameworks, pioneers and more that are driving innovation, being developed in the open and have the potential to change the financial services industry and its historically “closed” culture.
Financial services firms make extensive use of open source, but few are taking full advantage of this incredible resource. By becoming strategic contributors to open source projects, companies can decrease development costs, improve security, attract developers, and innovate faster.
This event will showcase recent developments and the direction of open source in financial services; provide practical knowledge and guidance on best practices, tools and technologies; explore how to build a successful community; and provide unparalleled opportunities to network with the executives and individuals driving open source in financial services.
