NYRR Social Long Runs: NYC
Join us in exploring a different part of New York or New Jersey and meet some new running buddies along the way! From the Brooklyn Bridge to the top of the Bronx, from the Palisades to Harrison State Park, get ready to log your miles in a fun new way!
Meet the NYRR coaching staff at the NYRR RUNCENTER to join one of three pace groups (8:30 min, 9:30 min, and 10:30 min) and embark on a guided long run in New York City. Each run is approximatley 14-16 miles.
August 11 – Summer Streets (Park Ave)
October 13 – New York City Location TBA
Notes: Please bring your own water bottle/hydration belt. The route will be shared ahead of the run via email. A MetroCard is needed.
Although we wish we could accommodate a wider range of paces, our priority is keeping runners safe and together on the roads since they are not closed to traffic like a typical race. This unfortunately means minimizing the pace spread from front to back of pack.
There will be a sweeper coach/bike at the rear of the group in case anyone should fall back, but we do not encourage you to sign up if you know you'll be running slower than 11 minutes per mile.
