NYC 2028: The Future We Build

NYC 2028: The Future We Build. Our political and social climate appears to be rapidly changing every day. With these changes comes reactions, and in a country and world that is more connected than ever, those reactions can be seen and heard by thousands of people in an instant. Within the tensions of change and reaction there is a rise in an “us vs. them” narrative. The impact of social media and access to news has allowed people of all ages, but specifically young people, to have a broader platform to vocalize concern and support. How do their voices shape the future and what do they want that future to be? What do we do today to live in a future that honours collaboration, difference, and voice?
You're invited to explore these questions in an intergenerational city-wide dialogue hosted by Generation Global NYC's Youth Council. This will be an interactive dialogue experience led by the Generation Global Youth Council about building a shared future for New York City.
We will be joined by our special guest, Ziad Ahmed; award-winning young writer, speaker, and creator of the organization, Redefy. Ziad will kick-off our event by vision casting for NYC in 2028 and share his experiences of the power of dialogue.
Join us, individuals of all ages, as we explore the future, listen to diverse voices, and create a shared vision for the future of our city!
All are welcome. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the dialogue begins promptly at 5:30 PM.
