Ryan is a Researcher at CoinFund, where he focuses on high-level research and constructing investment strategies. Prior to joining CoinFund, Ryan completed his M.S. in Financial Math from MIT, where he also conducted research on crypto asset-class economics with the MIT Digital Currency Initiative. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from Northwestern University.
Ryan will be mainly discussing crypto-economic. As network security of newer crypto networks trend away from Proof-of-Work schemas, staking economic security systems are taking center stage. The talk will cover some of these basic trends and their possible future impacts on the roles of crypto funds, investors, and network participants. CoinFund is actively participating on a variety of decentralized networks.
CoinFund is a cryptoasset-focused investment firm founded in 2015 and based in Brooklyn, New York. Their mission is to help advance the blockchain ecosystem by strategically investing in the decentralized stack and key financial infrastructure using an approach informed by their extensive blockchain technology expertise and experience in the industry.
