COP21: A Potential for Future Success with Jennifer Jacquet
Join Jennifer Jacquet, professor of Environmental Studies, as she speaks on her experience and research at the twenty-first Conference of Parties (COP21) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. In particular, she will focus on the Conference's ability to forge potential pathways for climate change solutions, as well as its limitations in assuring global cooperation and effective action. She will discuss the ways that the Paris agreement adds to the UNFCCC agreement of 1992, why things must be different this time around, and the challenges in assuring the agreement's success, which ultimately rests not only on nations, but on civil society and corporations.
