Explore the fundamentals of glass blowing and lamp-work. Students select from different color options and create a small, snowperson ornament with the help of Glass Shop instructor, Jason Dederich.
Glass blowing and working glass with a flame is an art and the craft takes time to master. This session enables participants to join with an intimate group to get a sense of these processes. Learn more about forming and shaping glass by working with Jason to form your own sculptural peice. Winter is here, join us to make an object that will help both heat up and commemorate the season!
What you'll learn:
Working with the Flame
Recognizing glass in a molten state
Using tools to shape and form
Proper glass blowing stances.
Pulling and shaping hot glass

Basic glass balancing
