The Intrepid Museum offers monthly programs for children (ages 5-17) with learning and developmental disabilities and their families. These two-hour programs take place on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided, interactive tour of the Museum and participate in art-making activities that everyone can enjoy.
Before & After: Aircraft Carrier to Museum
Intrepid has gone through many changes since it was first built in 1943. Explore different spaces and compare the historic to the modern through tours, exhibits and hands-on activities.
Access Programs at the Intrepid Museum are generously supported by the FAR Fund, the J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation, the Joseph LeRoy and Ann C. Warner Fund, the Barker Welfare Foundation and the Frank J. Antun Foundation. This program is supported, in part, by Public Funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
