Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts for the first time is hosting ‘Sanskriti Samvad Shrinkhala’ on 28 July 2016. On this occasion, IGNCA will celebrate and felicitate eminent litterateur , Dr. Naamvar Singh who will step into the 90th year of his fulfilling life.
The day- long event will include a panel discussions on a.)'Naamvar Singh ki Sarthkarta', b.)'Naamvar Singh Ka Krititva: Rashtriya Sandarbh' and a film on Dr. Naamvar Singh -'Naamvar Singh ke 90 Saal'.
The programme is being held in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya, Wardha.
Dr. Naamvar Singh:
Dr. Naamvar Singh was born on 28 July 1926 at Village Jiyanpur, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He is a well-known writer, litterateur, philosopher, critic of Hindi Sahitya. Some of his publications are Balkam khud (1951), Kahani: nayi kahani (1966), Dusri parampara ki khoj (1982), Aalochak ke mukh se (2005) and Premchand aur Bhartiya Samaj (2010).
His career boasts of holding prestigious positions and teaching at various eminent educational institutions of India including Jodhpur University (Rajasthan) and Jawahar Lal Nehru University (Delhi).
