Built in 1878, the Hall has hosted the BEST in live music and will open its doors for a unique yoga experience on the International Day of Yoga, June 21st.
Class is one hour and fifteen minutes, and is designed for adults. Children ages 12 and older are welcome to attend with their parent or guardian. Wear workout/exercise clothing, bring a yoga mat (and other personal props that make you comfortable) and a smile. It’s fun, challenging and connects you to group of like-minded people interested in community, giving back and elevating the mind, body and spirit. All experience levels are invited to spend the morning with us.
RSVP is appreciated, but not required.
The class will be taught by Melissa Welch-Lamoreaux.
Since stepping on the mat in 2007, Melissa’s passion has always been to activate the breath and body to quiet the mind to find the heart.
Melissa received her 200-hour yoga teacher certification through Dharma Yoga in Austin in 2011 and holds certifications in both kids and aerial yoga.
At New Braunfels first commercial yoga studio Two Rivers Yoga, she was one of the founding teachers of the Two Rivers Yoga Kids Program, and inspired adult yogis to connect mind, body and spirit in weekly all-levels vinyasa classes.
She leads workshops and teaches at varied businesses and organizations. She hosts the Yoga Collective at The Sophienburg Museum, bringing together like-minded yoga instructors and yogis in a community-based class that benefits the museum. She also offers classes weekly at Laurel Grace Yoga in downtown New Braunfels.
Since 2009, she has owned and operated Loud & Clear Communications, a strategic public relations, branding and marketing company located in New Braunfels.
Off the mat, you can find Melissa at her daughter’s volleyball games (Go Flagler Saints!), paddling the river with her husband Marc and her crazy tribe of friends, taking long walks with their dogs, and enjoying the many craft breweries in Central Texas.
