- **Event Description**: Our August Field Day has been rescheduled to Saturday August 29nd at 10:00 am. We'll be going through the colonies at our club Apiary at the Food Love Farm, 16200 Lake Vera Purden Rd Nevada City.
It'll be warm outside so make sure to bring a hat and a water bottle. We'll have a limited number of veils on hand to borrow so bring your own of you have one. Everyone will have a chance to handle the bees and ask questions. We'll talk about late summer management and what you should be doing now in order to get your bees ready for fall. Also, there'll be a mite wash, to test for the ever present and dreaded varroa mite. If you're unsure how to do that, it's time to learn so you can have healthy winter bees! 
All NCBA field days are free and open to the public, you don't need to be a member or even a Beekeeper to attend! So tell your friends and come on down! We only have a couple field days left this season so get to one while you can!
