                "description": "My name is Claire-Louise and I  have been teaching hatha yoga classes in Bristol to adults and children at a variety of different venues since 2006.My adult classes are suitable for people of all abilities as I adapt all the poses (asanas) to ensure the integrity of the pose remains intact, yet it brings the most benefit to each individual participant at their level of ability.  I am also trained to teach pregnancy yoga so please getin touchif you are interested in any of the above.​I have been practising yoga since 2000, initially studying with an Iyengar teacher.  In 2005, I discovered the hatha yoga style taught by theInner Yoga Trust (Scaravelli inspiredapproach) and I trained with them as a yoga teacher and then yoga therapist so now practice bothMindful YogaandRestorative Yoga.I have taught both children and adults in a variety of settings and would like to see yoga becoming part of mainstream education.  I am qualified in Pregnancy Yoga andThai Yoga Massage.  I currently teach classes at theWild Goose Spacein St Werburghs andSpace238in Easton.I have completed both Levels 1 and 2 of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction / Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy training withBangor University Teacher Training Programme.I have now completed my Supervised Teacher Training Pathway and so am a recognised Mindfulness Practitioner that follows theGood Practice Guidelines.​I enjoy all aspects of yoga, the philosophy, breathing practices, meditation, postures and Yoga Nidra and I use a variety of these aspects when working both in a group setting and on a one to one basis.I enjoy working with individuals assisting with specific health related issues where I believe that through becoming more aware of the alignment of body, the breath and through adapted, restful poses the body can begin to heal itself from pain, and disease that results from continued stress and strain.​I currently teach yoga, yoga therapy and practice Thai yoga massage in Bristol.  I have also taught in Bali and at numerous festivals and community events.  I am currently studying Vedic Chanting with my yoga teacherSarah Waterfield.  I can also recommendTim Chaliceif you are interested in Bhajan and Kirtan singing.I also work part time forCommunity Consciousproviding low cost sessions for those who are more vulnerable. Through this connection I have been offering Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction sessions to Bristol’s 'Outreach' clients who are, or have been rough sleeping on the streets of Bristol.In addition I have delivered an adapted MBSR course (calledMindfulness for Parents/Carers) to vulnerable parents as a way of supporting them to reconnect with their children and other family members.I have trained as a facilitator in a number of parenting courses (Nurturing Programme, Parents Plus Adolescents Programme, Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities, Freedom, Recovery Toolkit, Speakeasy, Solihull, Watch, Wait and Wonder) and has worked in a supportive role with families since 2004, particularly supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse and violence."
