Welcome to our first Ediblescapes Community Biocultural Day for 2026 — a hands-on, community-focused session connecting our edible forest gardening practice with living food culture.

We’re practising and sharing Indigenous and smallholder food traditions, supporting community food sovereignty through real, hands-on regenerative learning.

January focus plants:
? Katuk + Aibika (Queensland Greens)
? Choko (seasonal add-on)

Theme:
OFF-GRID PRESERVING (NO POWER NEEDED)
We’ll share practical, low-tech ways to prepare and preserve food without needing a fridge/freezer — plus simple garden-to-plate cooking.

What to expect:

plant ID + harvesting chat

short cooking demo + tasting (when feasible)

preserving ideas (pickling / lacto-ferment / drying / cool-box storage)

story-sharing and language-naming across cultures

invitation to join the weekly Tuesday workshop crew
