About The Host: The Ponte Vedra Woman’s Clubis a social and philanthropic organization dedicated to fundraising for local charities since 1970. Based in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, our members come from all over the greater Jacksonville area, including both St. Johns and Duval Counties. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization run entirely by volunteers. We work hard raising funds at our events throughout the club year, which runs through the end of May. Our selected charities receive their distribution in May and our scholarship recipients are announced at that time. We have formed long-standing relationships with some of the charities that we work with.Throughout the year, our members also donate specific items needed by charities. This can take many forms, from filling the holiday wish lists for children at one or more of our charities, to collecting school supplies, clothing items, or baby needs, for example.June 2024 - May 2026 Charities:Betty Griffin Center: Shelter and services for victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.BEAM: Helping low income residents in Jacksonville's beach communitiesMission House:The only day facility to help meet the needs of people who are homeless at the Beaches through compassion, faith, and programs designed to provide assistance at an individual level.Port in the Storm :This is the only homeless youth shelter in SJC for ages 18-24Florida School for the Deaf and Blind:Educating students from all over Florida, tuition-free, who are deaf/hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired, or deaf and blind.
