# Event Details - **Event Name**: Utah Trappers Association Fur Sale - **Event Start and End Date**: Tue, 10 Mar, 2026 at 10:00 am – Wed, 11 Mar, 2026 at 01:00 pm - **Event Description**: The Utah Trappers Association Fur Sale will be held March 10-11 in Nephi at the Juab County Fairgrounds. We will be accepting furs from 10am to 8pm on Tuesday and 8am to 1pm on Wednesday! There will be w membership meeting at 1:15 on Wednesday and there will be demos during the sale. This is a midweek sale, if you are unable to make it to the sale, we are recruiting members from around the state that will help get you furs there.If you live in one of the far corners of the state and would be willing to assist in transporting furs for other trappers please contact Terry Abraham at (435) 201-1851 to work out any details. This sale allows you to sell your pelts after bobcat season ends. You will have to have your bobcats permanently tagged before the sale DWR will not be tagging bobcats at the sale! Due to funding in the DWR do not plan to bounty your coyotes at the sale. If you need advice putting up your fur, understanding lots, etc, please reach out. Tell us what you are bringing, this helps the buyers immensely, you can call or go to the Utah Trappers Webpage. The "furcast" is looking good for bobcats, expect most other prices to be similar to last year. The craft market is strong with a high demand for skulls from gray fox, ring tailed cat, skunk, weasel, badger and other species. We are hoping to have enough craft buyers to create a little competition between them! Stan Bassett with ALCC furs will be on site again to purchase carcass and frozen fur. If you will be bringing these items, please call Stan at (435) 770-0884 so he has an idea of how much and what to expect. Stan pays all of the commissions on his transactions. We are trying to round up some more door and raffle prizes for adults and kids alike and could use some help. If you would like to donate to the cause or could reach out to your local sporting goods store or other business, it would be greatly appreciated. We have leaned pretty heavily on the Sevier County businesses and those around Santaquin and Payson the last couple of years for donations and they have donated a lot. Going out and asking for donations is not an easy thing to do, but I am sure there are other places around the state that would support our cause if asked. The Fur Sale rules will be the same as the last few years. · Sellers must be current members of the UTA. (If you are not a member or need to renew your membership, you can do so at the sale) · Bobcats must be permanently tagged by the DWR prior to the sale. The DWR will not be tagging bobcats at the sale. · Bobcats can be lotted in single lots. All other species will be limited to three lots per seller. · Traps, trapping supplies, fur handling accessories etc. can be sold with lot sizes to be determined by item type and available space. · Skulls, feet or other parts that could be messy need to be frozen in plastic bags labeled and put in plastic containers. Claws and other craft market items must be properly labeled identifying the quantity and what it is and be in a suitable container. · A 6% commission will be charged on all items sold. You are welcome to put a minimum bid on your items if you would like, however there will be a 5% commission on all no sales.
