Get ready for this growing season by learning all about our amazing native pollinator plants, their special characteristics and how to bring them to your yard. This event is open to anyone with an interest in learning more and will visit various restoration sites on the CEC property. Topics will include:
Weather permitting, we will go outside and visit various pollinator and butterfly gardens and several acres of prairie converted from lawn.
This workshop will be run by CEC's founder and executive director Joe Meyer. Joe has been involved in prairie planting and restoration for 20 years. He has planted dozens of butterfly gardens for schools, churches and private land owners, as well as, over 50 acres of land into native prairie. He has consulted on multiple ecological restoration projects and is excited to share his knowledge, experience and passion with you in this workshop.
