Introduction to Ayurveda for Women’s Wellness with Amy Massey
An introduction to key concepts of Ayurveda with special focus on springtime rejuvenation for women.
As women, we are deeply attuned with nature’s eternal rhythms. Tuning in to nature’s daily and seasonal cycles can support our body’s biological rhythms and strengthen our bodily constitution.
Ayurveda’s traditions of care include daily and seasonal routines as healing practices to align our bodily rhythms with nature’s cycles. Spring is an ideal time to support the body’s natural cleansing, digestion and rejuvenation. Explore Ayurvedic guidance for seasonal support of your body’s constitution (doshas) with practical ways of caring for your digestion (agni), including seasonally-inspired nutrition and recipe ideas.
Just as we are adapting to the influences of changing environmental elements each season, we are also moving through changes in hormones, energy levels and doshas each month during the phases of our menstrual cycle. To make the most of the healing and regenerative opportunity inherent to our monthly cycle, we’ll discuss nurturing practices for self-care to embrace our body’s own seasons, balance hormones, energy levels and moods – while balancing the rest of life too!
Amy Massey is a Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Practitioner specialising in women’s wellness. From her cosy studio and clinic space in Motueka, she offers consultations, semi-regular classes and workshops supporting women’s health including fertility, pregnancy, postnatal and more.
