🌱 Workshop Description
During this 3-hour interactive workshop, we’ll:
Introduce you to the fascinating world of plants with a 30–40 minute talk on plant science, relationships, and how humans can help nature thrive
Teach essential foraging tools, attitudes, and techniques
Walk together to identify 10–12 practical plants commonly found in backyards — easy to remember and use in everyday life
Explore ways to substitute salads, teas, seeds, and other foods while saving money and supporting nature
Bring your family, friends, neighbors, or come solo — furry companions are welcome too! 💚
🌿 Community & Sustainability
Walk, cycle, or take public transport to the event — special thank-you gifts for participants who do! 🚶♀️🌻
Healthy food potluck one hour before the workshop — bring a plate to share and a cuppa (extra cups encouraged in case someone forgets)
Volunteers from non-profit organizations or community gardeners are welcome to join for koha or produce from their garden — please indicate when registering
