Everyone is invited to roll, glow, dance, and ride with us! You’re encouraged to light up your ride, dress up in costume, jazz up your bike at one of our “bedazzling stations,” and prepare to hit the streets as a neon-bright, music-powered, mobile street party where cyclists turn the city into a moving dance floor. 🕕 Schedule 5:00–6:00 PM — Registration: Check in and receive your arm band from us at Hall Street Plaza - and make use of one of our bike bedazzling stations! All ages welcome, it’s totally free, and we’ll have some prizing for the best decorated bikes / riders. 6:00–7:00 PM — Group Ride: We roll out together at 6 PM and finish at Cottonwood Lake Park by 7 PM. Route + pit stop(s) announced soon. 7:00–10:00 PM — Bike Rave in the Park: The party continues at Cottonwood Lake Park at Fabulous Fridays presented by Kootenay Connective, featuring: • DJ sets from Rhapsody, House Plant & More TBA.. • Photo booths • Red Carpet Walk-Offs • A “Garden of Bright Ideas” • Snacks & Other Surprises • Prizes – Info TBA • Bicycle Valet On Site 🎉 What to Bring • Your bike (decorated, glowing – have a light if you plan to ride in the dark!) • Lights, neon, costumes, and anything that glows • Friends, family, and your best dance-on-two-wheels energy 🔐 Free Bike Registration with Project 529 A City of Nelson representative (and Project 529 admin) will be on site offering free bike registration into the Project 529 theft prevention system — a community driven digital registry that helps reduce theft and recover stolen bikes. 🚴 GoByBike BC Week is also giving away many prizes on the provincial level by registering through their online portal and logging your rides over the course of GoByBike Week BC (September 19 - 25).
