Lahiri Mahasaya received Kriya Yoga from Mahavatar Babaji, and it is the same practice that Jesus Christ was initiated into. Lord Krishna also initiated Arjuna. "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramhansa Yogananda extensively explores the teachings of Kriya Yog.

Kriya Yoga involves outer actions (Bahya Kriya), inner actions (Antar Kriya), and the practice of heightening awareness to realign the body, mind, and soul. It aims to balance the chakras and activate Kundalini, incorporating techniques from ancient traditions. However, Kriya Yoga is more than just a technique.
