" You know not your future until you know your past. Our dream has a purpose and our dream has a history."
In the 1980s, Bougainville experienced a 10-year Civil War that saw 20,000 people dead and 14 failed peace agreements. That’s when the NZ army stepped in with a radical new plan, armed with guitars, waiata, and aroha instead of guns, to end the worst civil war in the Pacific’s history.
This documentary shines a light on the untold story of unsung heroes. A story of aroha, culture connection and hope all New Zealanders can and will be proud to call their own.
