DirdyGerdi brings a groove-led, feel-good approach to the dancefloor, blending Deep House, Tech House, Minimal Tech and a touch of Dark Disco, currently heavily inspired by the flavour of the late ’90s and early 2000s R&B and Hip-Hop. Her sets are playful yet considered, built on bold, chunky basslines, cheeky moments and a flow that invites connection without ever forcing the vibe.
Born in Romania, raised in Germany, and now based in Aotearoa, DirdyGerdi bridges scenes with ease. As a resident DJ of Shipwrecked Festival and a driving force behind Silk Collective, her focus goes beyond the booth into creating spaces where people feel confident, welcomed, and free to move.
While this marks her first appearance at DeVille's, Nelson already feels like familiar ground. After playing at private gatherings in the area over the past two years, she’s built a special connection with the local community and is genuinely excited to return, this time sharing the energy on a public dancefloor.
She’s looking forward to bringing it full circle and dancing together again in Nelson.
