Starting with the basics you'll learn knitting with circular needles and master key techniques like casting on stitches, learn the knit and purl stitches and bind-off techniques. By the end, you'll not only have your very own completed project - a scarf, neck warmer, or perhaps the start of a simple sweater - but also newfound confidence and skills to continue your knit journey.

No experience? No worries! We'll be there, guiding you every stitch of the way.

A highly skilled knitwear designer and owner of Chuffed Design in Nelson, Bettina Bley designs and knits bespoke garments using high quality New Zealand wool yarns. Every piece is thoughtfully crafted to be timeless, beautiful and made to last - slow fashion in its truest sense. Twice a year she releases limited edition hand knit garments through her website. She also offers knitting workshops designed to build skills, creativity, and confidence.

Most popular her sweater-knit-along course that guides you step-by-step through creating your very first handmade garment - from casting on to proudly wearing your finished sweater. These classes are about more than just learning to knit. They’re about reconnecting with the joy of making, discovering what your hands are capable of, and experiencing the deep satisfaction of creating something truly your own.
