Beginner Birding at Lakeside Park

Are you curious about our local winter birds, especially the ducks along the Nelson waterfront?

Join naturalist and bird conservationist Verena Shaw to learn a bit about the birds along the Nelson waterfront. She will be bringing a scope to set up and some binoculars for folks who don't have them on this beginner friendly bird walk. Please dress warmly as it's often cool along the water and bring your enthusiasm and questions. We will be walking on the trail near the water. Note that if the weather is poor, the walk may be postponed.

Meet at the end of Lakeside Drive by the pedestrian bridge (see map below).
