- **Event Description**: Join us for Hooked on Hope: Skylar’s Surgery Support — a Fishery Benefit to support Skylar as he prepares for brain surgery to remove his AVM—an unexpected tangle of blood vessels in his brain that he was born with.

Base registration for the fishery is 20$, half of the funds going to the fundraiser and half going to the prize pot. There will be an extra 5$ entry fee for a “Big Fish” pot if you so choose to participate in that as well. The “Big Fish” will be measured with biggest LENGTH of the fish, not weight. Money raised will go towards hospital expenses not covered/outside of insurance coverage, continued accruing monthly bills, gas used commuting to and from the hospital, and general every day expenses.

The event runs from 8:00am–4:00pm. All participants must check-in at Crowbar as early as 8:00am (can check-in whenever but can’t fish until you check-in) to receive their official identification card before heading out to fish. Once checked in, you’re free to fish wherever you’d like, as far as you’d like. Simply submit a photo via text message with the phone number provided at check-in of your catch with your identification card visible to qualify.

Not fishing? No problem! Stop by Crowbar throughout the day to enjoy food (details coming soon), browse raffle baskets, and shop local vendors set up with merchandise available for purchase.
