Tickets will become available for both time slots on Monday, September 14. Attendees must register for only one tour; duplicate registrations will be canceled.About the tour:Domtar’s Nekossa paper mill is a fully integrated specialty paper mill that produces a variety of products and annually produces about 168,000 tons of paper. The facility has three paper machines and one fiber line, and has the capability of generating 100% of its electricity. Tours will include presentations on the paper making process and the manufacturing process in the mill, as well as the woodyard and chip dock areas.Domtar is a leading, privately held manufacturer of diversified forest products, with more than 13,000 employees in approximately 60 locations across North America. The company has an annual production capacity of 6.8 million metric tons of pulp, paper, packaging and tissue, and has an annual production capacity of about 2.6 billion board feet of lumber and other wood products.The Nekoosa mill was established in 1883 and named after the Ho-Chunk word for “swift running water”. Today it produces products such as including FDA grades (FC-free oil & grease resistant, food packaging, and waxed grades for food contact), security and publishing grades, functional coating base stocks, and colors.Important to know:Attendees must wear long pants (no dresses or sandals) and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Long hair must be tied back. Other PPE will be provided.
