This impact is intensified when being a victim is stigmatised and stifled, and the only solution provided is “be patient”, particularly within the Muslim community.There are unfortunately many cases where men and women suffer alone and in silence, and are often not given the adequate support or any at all.It is therefore our collective and social responsibility to ensure we can protect ourselves from domestic abuse, and identify those who may need this protection.
