Visit Homestead National Monument of America on Saturday, May 25th for the annual Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival!
It is a day for fiddlers of all ages and experience levels to come together much like they did when the first pioneers arrived in the 1800s and began settling the prairie. The sounds of the fiddlers were often heard whenever homesteaders got together and those same sounds will be heard on May 25 at the Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival.
10 a.m. Free Fiddling & Harmonica Workshops
12 p.m. Fiddling and Acoustic Band Competition
Don't know how to fiddle? Come out to enjoy the music! Visitors are welcome to attend and enjoy the competition. There will also be free fiddling and harmonica workshops prior to the competition. No experience necessary! Food will be available from Back Alley Eatery or visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic to enjoy on the grounds.
