Learn practical ways to manage stress in a humorous, interactive class setting. Topics include recognizing symptoms of stress, life stressors, relaxation exercises, altering stress-inducing thoughts, and understanding how passive/assertive/aggressive personal interactions impact stress.

Meet the class lead! Dr. Richard is a retired clinical and military special operations forces psychologist with over 35 years of experience training Olympic/professional/college athletes, civilian police tactical teams, and top-tier specialized military professionals requiring a high level of mental toughness and stress tolerance. He's deployed multiple times on three continents, and he has been invited to speak to community groups, foreign militaries, and elite organizations throughout the world. Dr. Richard has a PhD and three Master’s degrees, and he currently spends his time volunteering with various charitable organizations (like ECWR!) and training mental skills to local high school varsity athletic teams. Around the refuge, he's donated tons of his time to help us host events, and by helping us build habitats from the ground up!

The class will be held in the evening on our beautiful property under our outdoor pavilion area. Our outdoor pavilion has shade, fans, and the option of picnic bench seating or patio chair seating. You'll be nestled in the woods and might hear a few "whoooooos" from our resident barred owl as the sun sets, hopefully making the event more relaxing than ever!
