- **Event Description**: This week we will be at the Naugatuck Passive Park,  as they’ve installed a new footbridge granting access again to the trail and fields. It’s much drier now, unlike in the spring. 
We will meet @6pm for a quick stretch and introduction. 
This hike is 2.5 miles total. The terrain is mostly grass and light gravel. The challenge is easy to moderate. We follow the field perimeter to a trail that has a brook crossing  and then an incline to the meadows up top for a panoramic view. We see deer here often. 

This hike is free for the community . GPS has it as “ Gunntown Passive Park & Nature Reserve”, 51 -319 Gunntown Rd. Oxford. It’s on the Naugatuck line. Feel free to msg us for a GPS link to parking area. 

You must know your physical limitations, and you are responsible for your own safety. Hike at your own risk. Feel free to share as we connect people to nature , themselves, & others. 

 
This hike is free to the public. We ask people who can to make a small donation to support Nano, a Costa Rican native who has dedicated his life to living simply, sustainably, and peacefully off the grid.

Nano’s self-sustained farm is built on compassion and care. His  animals are not for food but family, and he’s become an inspiration to many, including Kevin and others from this group ,  showing how to live a fulfilled life without material wealth.

Now aging and facing medical challenges, Nano is considering installing a solar panel to provide basic electricity for lighting and to power essentials like his portable radio, which he listens to while working on the land. Supporting Nano is a way to give back to someone who has helped others reconnect with a simpler, less stressful way of life. A little goes a long way. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
