Pathology later confirmed an extraordinarily rare form of sarcoma caused by a genetic fusion seen in only a handful of cases worldwide.Reed has undergone months of aggressive chemotherapy and extended hospital stays, and will have many long-term follow-up care needs—likely continuing for several years after chemotherapy ends.
