Kirtan is very helpful with relaxation by stimulating the vagus nerve. This shifts the body into a relaxed “rest and digest state”
The chanting has a calming effect on a distracted, busy or worried mind.

People have reported improved heart rates and more restful sleep as a result of participating in kirtan.
Other benefits are the feeling of community, connection and belonging.

No kirtan experience is necessary. All are welcome regardless of singing ability and will be supported to enjoy and benefit from the experience.
