Join us for the premiere of βSeafood Nationβ β a short documentary by Bahamian filmmaker Matt McCoy.
From grouper fingers to conch salad, stew and boiled fish, seafood is more than just a meal in The Bahamas. Itβs woven into our culture, identity, and livelihoods, and remains an integral part of Bahamian heritage, especially in the Family Islands. Our marine resources, from sea to serving plate, drive our economy, inspire our culture, and if managed with care, can provide for future generations to come.
Seafood Nation explores these deep connections through the voices of local fishers, vendors, consumers, managers, and scientists, with hopes of sparking meaningful conversation about our fisheries and their future.
