Join us for a gentle stroll as we learn birdwatching skills and spot birds on the University of Houston-Clear Lake campus.

We will meet at 9 a.m. in the EIH garden at the North Office Annex 2 building near UHCL Entrance 3 (Middlebrook Dr) and bird for approximately 90 minutes.

About Birding Club
The Environmental Institute of Houston is located in the Houston Clear Lake area for children aged 7-13. Children under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 10-13 may be dropped off (there is a sign in), but parents are welcome to stay if they wish! Each month we explore a local park or our own campus and discover the many bird species (as well as other wildlife) that live and visit the Houston area.

Wear closed-toed shoes. We also highly recommend wearing lightweight long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, sunhat, sunscreen, and insect repellent.

Bring binoculars and a birding book if you have them. Don't worry if you don't have these items or even if you have never been birding before—we have good quality binoculars to share and are delighted to welcome beginners.

Make sure you bring water to drink (and a snack if you wish).

This opportunity is organized with the wonderful help of volunteers from the Galveston Bay Area Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist.

Registration is not required.
