- **Event Description**: This 6-week in-person class series presented by the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt's Therapeutic Movement ProgramAbout this EventYoga Support for Hypermobility Class SeriesPresented by the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt's Therapeutic Movement ProgramDates & Times: Once a week for 6-weeks on Mondays from 1:15-2:15pm, from August 17th - September 28th, 2026 (6-sessions total; skip/no class session on September 7th, Labor Day).Format & Location: In-person at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt (3401 West End Ave, Suite 380, Nashville TN, 37203).Facilitator: Amanda Wentworth, C-IAYT, E-RYT500, CRYT (Yoga Therapist).Cost: This is not billed to insurance and is a one-time out of pocket expense of $120 for the 6-week series.Description:Yoga Support for Hypermobility is an in-person class series designed for those with Hypermobility Syndrome, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and other conditions. This in-person class offering facilitates safe movements within a student's own range, so that the fear and anxiety associated with moving can be eased. Specific intents include slowly building stability and strength, practicing calming breathing, and increasing one’s trust in their own system.All Osher Movement Classes are facilitated by an instructor with experience and specific training working with participants with chronic pain and conditions.This class is a part of our M1 and M2 Codes on our Class Suitability Code (see below).M1 classes are suitable for those with some physical limitations and those new to the practice. Modifications available if support of a chair or the wall is needed.
