This marks the first time NJW has hosted a service ensemble, and we couldn't be more excited.Made up of 18 professional enlisted musicians, Shades of Blue moves easily between traditional big band, bebop, swing, and modern jazz, and several members also compose and arrange for the group. The ensemble has shared the stage with jazz greats including Bobby Shew, Allen Vizzutti, Carmen Bradford, and Jamey Aebersold, and has performed everywhere from jazz festivals and clinics to NBA and MLB games.This performance is free and open to the public, with free tickets available through Eventbrite to help us manage the room. Come out for an evening of world class big band jazz and help us welcome the Air Force to the Jazz Cave stage.Venue: Nashville Jazz Workshop, 1012 Buchanan Street, Nashville, TN 37208Free parking and BYOB.
