Join us to discuss how to create psychologically resilient children in sports. Learn to help your child cope with the stress and demands of being a student athlete and build support skills to help your child effectively through great wins and heartbreaking losses. Throughout the session, you will gain the tools to help improve your student athlete’s performance through evidence-based practices.
Our speaker, Emily DeSalavtore, MS, LPC-MHSP is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in working with athletes and performers of all ages and levels. She owns Nashville Anxiety and Performance Counseling, a local private therapy practice. She grew up in sports and was a D1 cheerleader for The Ohio State University. She now merges her athletic training, coaching experience, and professional knowledge of counseling to help support athletes and their families. Emily is extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). She has spoken at international professional conferences about clinically treating athletes with anxiety disorders. Let's come together to discuss how to prepare your student athlete to give their best performance and become the best athlete they can be.
