Two sides of the same artist. Two sides of Black music. The exhibition unfolds across our Main Concourse: PJ's photographs, his archive, the artifacts that tell the story of a New Orleans son who turned a church kid's ear into one of contemporary music's most respected voices.The evening moves in three movements. A reception with the album playing throughout the gallery. An intimate conversation with PJ moderated by Deputy Director Dr. Dexter D. Evans. A curated walkthrough of the exhibition led by NMAAM Director of Curation Dr. Bryan Pierce, with PJ sharing the stories behind each piece.The album drops worldwide on June 19.
