While attending the University of California, Davis, an internship at the legendary Robert Mondavi Winery sparked what would become a lifelong passion for fine wine.​In 2007, Raj launched PATEL Wines with a debut release of just 100 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine made an immediate impact, earning a 95-point score from Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate—a standard of excellence the winery has maintained ever since.​While many Napa producers expand into dozens of labels, Raj remains intentionally focused on a core portfolio of just four wines. This discipline allows him to capture the unique essence of Napa's sub-regions, from the tropical brightness of Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc to the structured power of Coombsville Cabernet. With a total production of only 1,000 cases, PATEL wines are highly allocated and gained worldwide fame after being selected for a White House State Dinner in 2023.​Parking​Due to limited spacing, we ask that you please do not park in the lot directly in front of Corkdorks’ store. Instead, you are welcome to park in either the lot beside the Corkdorks front lot, or in any open spot on the street. These parking options are free for attendees. Thank you for your cooperation.​Registration & Gift Card Policy​All attendees will receive a $20 gift card to Corkdorks.​We do not charge a fee to attend or participate in any of our classroom events. However, because of the tremendous demand for our events and limited seating in our state-of-the-art classroom, we charge a nominal prepaid reservation fee to hold your place.​The reservation fee is non-refundable if you are unable to attend for any reason. If you attend the event, you will receive a Gift Card in an amount equal to the prepaid reservation fee. No refunds.
