You'll learn a bit about the history of rope, how to choose the rope that's right for you, and what we like to discuss before tying with someone. You'll also learn a single column tie, how to extend rope, and frictions to complete your ties!Even if you've been to the Basics before, this might be a great refresher! If you need rope we have it to use and don't worry if you don't have a tying partner! We have extra limbs via furniture.A little bit about RING: We are a local rope group and non-profit in Nashville, Tennessee, focusing on non-dogmatic practices and equitable access to education. RING is intended to help foster and support learning and growth in rope for all experience levels.
