Guy Charles Clark was a Grammy winner, a Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member, an Academy of Country Music Poet’s Award honoree, and one of the most respected and revered songwriters to ever call Nashville home.  From Jerry Jeff Walker’s hit recording of “L.A. On Guy’s website, he is quoted as saying “I’m not trying to mentor anyone. I just enjoy the process of co-writing simply because of the give and take, especially with bright people who are good at what they do.”  The “bright people who are good at what they do” on this show include Guy’s long time touring partners and hit songwriters Verlon Thompson and Shawn Camp, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Texas Songwriters Hall of Fame recording artist and record producer Gary Nicholson, Grammy winning and platinum selling singer songwriter Ray Stephenson, Grammy nominated songwriter, musician, and recording artist Bill Lloyd, International Bluegrass Music Association “Songwriter of the Year” Thomm Jutz, folk songwriter and songwriting instructor Buddy Mondlock, International touring artist and Kerrville & Tumbleweed Folk Festival Songwriting awards winner Claudia Nygaard, and veteran composer and songwriter Michael Catalano. The evening will include some of Clark’s most popular songs, like Dublin Homesick Blues”, “Home Grown Tomatoes”, “Tornado Time In Texas”, “Sis Draper”, “Hemmingway’s Whiskey”, “Worry Be Gone”, “The Cape”, “Stuff That Works”, and “Desperados Waiting For a Train”. This is a one of a kind show, and thanks to the generosity of the songwriters, a great way to support musicians.  All proceeds benefit Music Health Alliance and the Guy Clark Foundation.
