About this Event

If you’ve been thinking about gardening using native plants and trees, but not sure where to begin, this introductory class is a great way to get started. In this sixty-minute session, we will address the following questions:

  • What are native plants and trees?
  • Why plant natives?
  • What’s the fake news about gardening with natives?
  • How do I get started?
  • What are some great resources to help me?

Jim Hawk is a longtime community advocate and educator who is following his passion for gardening with native plants and trees. Over the past 20 years, his love and relationship with natives has grown and today he is the Project Director for shortmeadow37206. He is establishing an urban native wildflower sanctuary in the heart of East Nashville (TN).

Join us in East Nashville for this sixty-minute session for only $35 (includes any printed materials). This session is intentionally limited to no more than 12 people.
