Explore the quieter side of Monroe Lake during these guided paddling trips that journey through backwaters, wetlands, bays, and/or slow-moving streams. Trips highlight beautiful views, hidden wildlife, aquatic plants, and unique land features. Find your new favorite place to kayak!
This EXTENDED-LENGTH trip (expected return time of 2:00 p.m.) will head up the Middlefork of Salt Creek to the remnants of the old Browning Bridge near Elkinsville. This is a particularly scenic portion of the Salt Creek Valley with a high likelihood of encountering bald eagles, beavers, and other wildlife. Due to the high water levels experienced by the reservoir this summer, we may also encounter new logjams in the narrower sections of the creek – this trip is for those with an adventurous spirit!
